WELL DEVELOPMENT
Town of Elkton, Virginia

Sealed bids on the referenced project will be received by the Town Manager at the Town of Elkton, 173 W. Spotswood Ave., Elkton, VA 22827 until 11:00 AM, local prevailing time, Friday, June 28, 2024, and then publicly opened.

Bids may be withdrawn using the procedure set forth in Virginia Code § 2.2-4330 B.1.

The project will consist of construction of the following work:  Development of 1-2 new 8-inch diameter groundwater wells for drinking water supply, and Incidental related work. 

The Town will award the contract on a unit price bid basis.

Bid documents in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format may be obtained from WW Associates, Inc., telephone 434-316-6080. Bidders must provide contact person and email, business address, and telephone number to receive bid documents.

Bid Security:  Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the base bid. 

Bidders must be licensed as Contractors in the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with Title 54.1, Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia (1950) as amended.

MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President’s Executive Order #11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President’s Executive Orders #12138 and #11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. Bidders must comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Act and certify that they will provide a drug-free workplace as a precondition to receiving a contract.
