Mayor | Larry Bompiani
Hi. I am Larry Bompiani and I was elected to my first municipal office as Mayor of Elkton. My term officially started on January 1st of this year(2009) and runs through 12/31/2010. I am originally from Western Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia in 1980 to start my family and career as a Doctor of Chiropractic. I had just recently graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic located in Davenport Iowa and I wanted to find a warmer climate that still provided the 4 seasons. For four years during my 28 years of practice in Harrisonburg, VA I operated a second office in Elkton. It was at that time I was exposed to the beauty of Elkton and its surrounding communities. 
When my 2 wonderful daughters moved on with their careers I decided that I wanted to give my time to assist the Town. In addition to serving as Mayor I have also contributed to the area by serving on the Board of Directors for the Elkton Area United Services, Elkton Historical Society and the Elkton Children and Family Clinic. I am a member of the Mt. Olive Brethren Church located in Pineville VA and served as a Trustee and presently as a Deacon. During my 2 years as Mayor of Elkton I hope to assist in laying the foundation for our financial stability as well as future residential and commercial growth. The potential for the success of our Town is limited only by our imagination.
