Elkton Farmer’s Market

 

Rules and Regulations

Publicized Hours of Operation:   SATURDAY 7AM-1 PM
 

1. All items sold in the Farmer’s Market must have been grown, produced, or made in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This will be strictly enforced.
 

2. Individuals wishing to sell baked goods or other prepared foods (including canned foods) must contact the Virginia Department of Agriculture at 540-857-7344. A certificate from them must accompany your application, or your application will be denied.


3. At all times, items sold in the Elkton Area Community Farmer’s Market must meet requirements of all applicable health and sanitation codes, as well as state wide agricultural requirements. It is the sole responsibility of the vendor to ensure compliance.


4. Possession of a Town of Elkton Peddler’s License is not a substitute for paying the Farmer’s Market Stall Rental Fee.


5. Collection and reporting of sales tax is the sole responsibility of the individual seller.


6. Each seller must leave area clean.


7. Each vendor will be allowed to rent one space per application.


8. Vendors are personally liable for any difficulty arising from the display or sale of their products at the Elkton Farmer’s Market. To protect yourself and your customers, please be sure you have suitable insurance coverage.


 

2008 FARMERS MARKET FEES

Full Market Season May 3rd – October 11th $150.00

Daily (cannot be reserved more than a week in advance $10.00
