Drinking in Public

§ 50-1. Drinking alcohol or giving to another in public prohibited.
No person shall take a drink of alcoholic beverages or shall tender drink thereof to another, whether accepted or not, at or in any public place within the town.
§ 50-2. Exception.
This article shall not prevent any person from drinking alcoholic beverages or offering a drink thereof to another in those areas designated in Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, § 4.1-308.
§ 50-3. Violations and penalties.
It shall be an offense for any person to fail to abide by this article, and any person found guilty thereof shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $250. Each day any violation of this article shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
