WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ASSISTANT
The Town of Elkton is currently accepting applications for a position at the Elkton Wastewater Treatment Plant. This is a full time position with a starting salary dependent upon applicant’s qualifications and experience. In addition, the Town of Elkton offers a comprehensive benefits package to full time employees. Duties include responsibilities for the operation and maintenance of the Town’s wastewater treatment plant, pump stations, water supply and distribution system on an assigned shift. Preferred candidates shall have prior experience operating and maintaining water and wastewater facilities and have a current Class IV or better Operator’s License for wastewater and water as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia or candidate must obtain licensure within one year of employment. Candidates must also have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid VA driver’s license and be able to use a computer. Drug screen and future drug testing may be requested as a condition of employment. Position will remain open until February 15, 2012 at 12:00 p.m.

PART-TIME CUSTODIAN POSITION
The Town of Elkton is currently accepting applications for the position of part-time Custodian. The successful candidate will perform custodial work, and cleaning duties for Elkton Area Community Center and Town Hall to include, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing windows, cleaning restrooms, disposing trash, and other duties as assigned. Starting salary is $7.50 per hour. Drug screening and future drug testing may be requested as a condition of employment. Position will remain open until filled.
